I found this kit for sale on Ebay Germany. Appears to be a Volvo factory item. Very interesting. Kit converts a non-aspirated Volvo 6 cyl. diesel to a turbodiesel. Complete with intercooler. Price... 500 Euros + shippin'
As you might know, the VW/Audi motor found in your Volvo was very common in the VW LT series of light/medium duty trucks and vans. I couldn't tell if any of the branding in your pictures was Volvo-specific, but maybe that was the market they were aiming for.
by the way, na stands for naturally aspirated, but i suppose it could be argued that the na volvo diesels were non aspirated with that weak horsepower rating.
Not trying to be a smarta.... but u know that original factory turbo unit has oil "jets" cooling pistons and other none visual differences. Never the less if u want to convert none turbo unit: GO FOR IT ! 50% monre power, 25% less fuel consumption, muss less smoke. Like to see how u make out, really!
This info. was provided merely as a curiosity... I don't know exactly what's in the kit. I just found it interesting. Yes, you are correct that the D24T motor does have jets that spray oil into the bottom side of the pistons.

Am interested in finding another kit like this one- are they available still?
